Thanks for the visit! John Reynolds uncovered his passion for music during his first guitar lesson as a young child. He also studied piano and the c-flute were his first instruments. From that point on, Reynolds was involved in jazz bands, musicals, accompaniment, and has released instrumental as well as varied vocal compositions for children and adults alike!
Reynolds followed his dream to Boston, Massachusetts, USA, and attended Berklee College of Music for vocal performance. He studied theory, harmony, listening and analysis, arranging, as a vocal performance major. Reynolds writes his lyrics and produces material in his home studio and also records with other producers and sound professionals. Reynolds also worked for “New Talent“ in Brookline, MA, the original producers of the “New Kids on the Block,” (the founder being one of the top 10 jazz pianists in the country,) who had established the "Contemporary School of Music" in Cleveland Circle Brookline, Massachusetts where artists like Bonnie Raitt, and James Montgomery taught young musicians. The rehearsal studios were built in Boston, and at those studios the Boston rock band known as the Cars learned to create their successful style.
Reynolds says ”music binds us all together, it’s universal, and that’s what we need most.”
John seems to “find inspiration all around” himself, he says also that he “works at creating music representative of himself and his generation.” He “loves the places that most people don't give a second glance!”
Reynolds started in the coffee house circuit, which lead to eventually playing as a regular in different luxury resorts such as the Casa Marina Resort in Key West Florida, and also at Scullers’ Jazz Club in Boston, Massachusetts, one of the best premier jazz venues in America, and he’s performed across the country from Cambridge, Boston, to California, and South Florida.
