Hello John here! Thanks for the visit! I uncovered my passion for music during my first guitar lesson with my oldest brother as a very little kid! I also took piano lessons and the c-flute was my first band instrument. From that point on, I was involved in school jazz bands, musicals, and instrumental as well as varied vocal compositions.
I followed my dream to Boston, Massachusetts, USA, and attended Berklee College of Music for vocal performance. I studied theory, harmony, listening and analysis, arranging, and my major. I write my lyrics and produce material in my home studio and also record with others! I also worked for “New Talent“ in Brookline, MA, the original producers of the “New Kids on the Block,” (the founder being one of the top 10 jazz pianists in the country,) who had established the "Contemporary School of Music" in Cleveland Circle Brookline, Massachusetts where artists like Bonnie Raitt, and James Montgomery taught young musicians. The rehearsal studios were built in Boston, and at those studios the Boston rock band known as the Cars learned to create their successful style.
I find inspiration all around me. I try to make my music representative of myself and my generation. I love the places that most people don't give a second glance!
I started in the coffee house circuit, which lead to eventually playing as a regular in different luxury resorts such as the Key West Florida, and also at Scullers’ Jazz Club in Boston, Massachusetts, one of the best premier jazz venues in the country and I have performed across the country from Cambridge, Boston, to California, and South Florida. Music brings us all together, it’s universal, and that’s what we need most, to come together!
